Right Prime Minister Oh tells the visiting Ming general to enjoy the feast of Manchu-Han Full Feast and do what he wishes to the maid Jang-Geum. The visiting general asks Jang-Geum why she was so insistant on cooking only greaseless food, even at the risk of her life. Jang-Geum states she was following the golden rule set by her mentor Court Lady Han, which is “no matter what, a cook must never prepare food that will harm the one who will eat the food”. Visiting general states at first he was reluctant to try the simple food Jang-Geum prepared but the more he at the better he felt.
